Overview

The skills programme serves as a basic introduction to PRINCIPLES OF  management and leadership. It serves to provide delegates on different levels in an organisation with the fundamental understanding of management and leadership of self in own environment, leadership and management of others and teams and the management fundamentals in business

One of the common denominators of all SIMS Khula’s  research and experience in our client companies , is that managers first need to internalise the basic principles of management and leadership before any further interventions are effective. High level management interventions should be based on these principles. The more practical the facilitation and application of these principles, the more effective the management and leadership behaviour change.

Who should Attend

Any individual in business who currently  perform a leadership function or has the potential to perform a leadership position, from managers, managers of functions, supervisors, team leaders managers of own  area of responsibility and management of clients. If your role is that of influencing others in any sense in the work environment, this course is aimed at you!!!

Application based Portfolio of Evidence

The portfolio of evidence include a basic research report on the business where are you currently employed , utilising your insight and understanding gained from the course to  bring innovation and growth in your own style and in the team that you are leading.

Credits on the NQF

Delegates can attend this course as a separate credit bearing skills programme  or as the Introductory course to the management level 4 qualification.
